Why don’t they improve project delivery II?

In my last blog I wrote about a person who had been on a project management course and complained that her bosses had been on the training that this person was attending. They told her that she would not only enjoy the training but find it useful.

She was left frustrated as she had learnt a lot. It was apparent that her bosses were happy with the course but they had not changed anything – their behaviour in relation to projects nor their approach.

I then received a newsletter from SPOCE and the headline caught my eye; Delivering Standards with Inconsistency?


The newsletter points to a lack of learning from people on courses. SPOCE focus mainly on PRINCE2 training and they have a really solid reputation. The problem they face like many other companies, including my own Project Agency; is how to ensure transfer of learning actually happens? Now, there’s a question!
