I've been on the interview where I've heard a candidate has always delivered. As you can guess it didn't end up hiring him.

The same is with people who judge their skills for 6 out of 5 or are perfect in any way (or so they say).

Somehow I prefer normal people who fail from time to time.

In grad school one of our principle investigators was from Japan. When we initiaited the procedure to start up a large laser and the associated equipment, Dr. Gamo wnated to know what would be the result. I was too nervous to answer, but my friend piped in "Well Dr. Gamo if we knew the answer to that, it woouldn't be an experiment woudl it. That's whjy we haev fire extinguishers."

Any one who says that haven't failed, is either lying or is of little value on your project.
